Profile
Ayodeji Omotoso is widely acknowledged as a leading commercial litigator and negotiator with about three (3) decades of experience resolving complex corporate and commercial disputes for some of Nigeria’s leading indigenous and multinational companies.

Admitted to the Nigerian Bar in 1989, he was counsel in the law firm of Kehinde Sofola & Co. between 1989 and 1992, from where he left to co-found the Firm.

Experience
Ayodeji negotiated and resolved one of the most complex and protracted Joint Operating Agreement disputes in the Nigerian Oil Industry, which had remained unresolved for about sixteen years.
He also acted as an Expert in Nigerian Law in the Ken Saro Wiwa v. Royal Dutch Petroleum Company, et al case in New York and served on a Committee set up by the Government of Lagos State to review First Level Justice Sector delivery in the State.
He has appeared in trial and appellate courts of competent jurisdiction offering sophisticated advocacy and counsel in the areas of corporate commercial litigation, class actions, securities litigation and general civil litigation. He provides leadership for the firm’s Litigation and Dispute Resolution Practice Group.
With a background in Economics, Ayodeji Omotoso possesses significant knowledge of the financial markets and is well informed with regulatory policies as it affects clients’ businesses.
He is able to analyse salient legal issues and forecast the economics and business implications on clients’ businesses.
